A child’s chance of surviving cancer shouldn’t depend on where they are born – but today, it does. Around 90% of children with cancer live in low- and middle-income countries, where the survival rate is under 30%. Meanwhile, in high-income countries, over 80% of children beat the disease. This disparity isn’t rooted in biology; rather, it’s a result of inequity.
Your support will enable children to access an accurate diagnosis and cancer treatment by helping vulnerable families to cover the costs of diagnosis, medication, treatment and out of pocket expenses related to treatment. This will enable children with cancer from low-income families to access care, improving their chances to survive and thrive.
