Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time for mothers and children who have escaped domestic abuse - triggering painful memories and feelings of guilt for mothers struggling to afford food and gifts for their children. Spending Christmas away from the comforts of home is hard for any family, but it is especially tough for those who have arrived at our refuges during the cold winter months with little more than they can carry.

We will bring joy, stability, and healing to 200 mothers and children this Christmas – providing them with festive activities, parties, play sessions, thoughtful gifts, and one-to-one emotional and psychological support. We will ensure that families feel safe and can begin to rebuild, and give children opportunities to experience the simple joys of childhood, like baking, playing games, ice skating, or a trip to the cinema.
