Homelessness in London remains a significant issue with record numbers of people currently homeless. More support for Spires is crucial so we can maintain our essential services, achieve positive outcomes and ultimately reduce the number of people facing homelessness.

Spires has seen an increase in the number of people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless attending our services. In 2024, over 750 people utilized our services, highlighting the growing significance of our work amid rising homelessness rates. 4,427 people were counted as sleeping rough in London between January and March this year – up 8% on the same period in 2024. Spires provides essential support, aiming to reduce the number of people sleeping rough within our local communities.

We empower homeless adults to secure and maintain appropriate accommodation while addressing the root causes of their homelessness. Our dedicated key workers collaborate with service users to create individual support plans that address underlying needs to resolve their homelessness. The team consistently support people to: Access mental health services | Work with drug and alcohol support services | Obtain training or qualifications | Obtain or maintain benefits | Maintain personal safety.
