Rape has a devastating and lasting impact. Too often it goes unpunished and survivors unsupported. • 71,227 rapes were reported to the police last year. Charges were brought in only 2.7% of cases • The average length of a rape case is now two years • Our member centres received 41,000 referrals last year, yet three had to close due to underfunding Justice, healing and rebuilding their lives after sexual violence feels impossible for too many women and girls in England and Wales.
We want every woman and girl to have access to specialist and free support and advocacy after rape and sexual abuse. Through vital campaigning, training and resources, we support our member services to ensure that every survivor can access specialist support and advocacy wherever, whenever and for as long as they need it, no matter their background or circumstance. Help us to keep challenging the systems that allow rape to go unchallenged and fighting for a world without sexual violence.
