Hedgehog numbers in the UK have plummeted, with fewer than 1 million now remaining. These once-common animals are now officially classified as vulnerable to extinction. The causes are clear: habitat loss, climate change, dwindling food sources, and increasing dangers from human activity. Without urgent support, many of these hedgehogs simply won’t survive.

We care for hundreds of sick or injured hedgehogs each year, providing expert medical treatment and rehabilitation. Our release programme ensures hedgehogs return to safe habitats, supporting their welfare and contributing to vital conservation research. Through education and outreach, we raise awareness and promote hedgehog-friendly practices. With your support, we can continue protecting these vulnerable creatures.
