Children’s mental health is in crisis. One in five children now has a probable condition, with those affected by complex trauma and poverty most at risk. In Cambridgeshire, tens of thousands of children face mental health challenges, financial hardship, and multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences. Many are unable to access timely help. We provide long-term, trauma-informed support to those who need it most.
We use a panoramic, wraparound model of trauma-informed care to meet the complex needs of each child and their family. This includes long-term therapy in schools and the community, weekly drop-ins for parents and carers, enrichment activities, and casework support. Our approach not only eases immediate distress but helps break cycles of trauma and disadvantage, giving children the tools to heal, grow, and thrive in the long term.
