Many participants come to our music projects experiencing low confidence, limited autonomy, and social isolation, often due to challenging personal or societal circumstances. Our group-based sessions address these issues by creating a safe, inclusive space where individuals can connect, express themselves, and build supportive relationships through collaborative music-making.
The Academy of St Martin in the Fields (ASMF) leverages 25 years of experience working with people who have experienced homelessness through creative, collaborative music workshops based on the principles of our chamber orchestra – creative freedom and joyful, collaborative music-making. Expanding in 2025/26 to six locations and new partners, ASMF aims to reach 110 more individuals who will work with our musicians and workshop leaders, building confidence and autonomy.
