A child's cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment affects the whole family, and can be an incredibly stressful and difficult time. Help give families the gift of a holiday, providing them the chance to relax, spend time together, and create memories in an environment far from the hospital wards.

Approximately 120 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in the North East and Cumbria each year. This immediate shift in families' lives often results in parents or other family members becoming carers, and sees the opportunity to create memories outside of the ward environment become much less frequent. We know just how important quality time spent as a family can be, and by enjoying a funded break together, families have a chance to feel 'normal' and create life-long memories.
It is our mission at Children's Cancer North to help make life better for children and young people affected by cancer. We believe that the patients we support, and their families, should receive positive and enjoyable experiences during their treatment which provide them with essential opportunities to feel 'normal' during this difficult time in their lives. We are hoping to raise £30,000 which would allow us to send over 45 families away on a much-needed break to Center Parcs throughout 2026.
