Help Bristol Women’s Voice keep one of the UK’s biggest free International Women’s Day events alive. In 2025, we hosted 115 speakers and welcomed 1,557 attendees to City Hall. With funding for the women's sector at an all-time low, we need your support to make 2026 a powerful, inclusive celebration.

Every year, Bristol Women’s Voice hosts one of the UK’s biggest free International Women’s Day events, welcoming 1,000–1,500 people. It is a truly cross-generational, cross culture event. in 2025, 48% of 115 collaborators were from Black and minoritised backgrounds, 16% were disabled. We do this on a shoestring, ensuring it’s as inclusive and accessible as possible—with free translation, BSL interpreters, mobility support, a crèche, and covering travel for those who otherwise couldn’t attend.

To keep this vital event free and accessible for all, we need your help. We want 2026 to be a huge success, and are aiming for £10,000 in individual donations to be match-funded by Big Give! In 2026 we want to partner with organisations in the more deprived outskirts of Bristol - some of which are among the poorest areas in the country - to run a cohesive programme of community-based events that are accessible to those with less confidence to attend the city centre event.
