Artists with support needs face significant barriers to developing their creative practice. With 65% of members now identifying as having multiple support needs, the Community Programme confronts complex societal problems through an inclusive creative lens. Each year we receive referrals from individuals and over 30 community partners, and currently have a waiting list of over 50 people—a stark reflection of the pressure currently mounting on local health and social services.

Creativity has huge benefits for mental health and wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem. Through regular studio sessions, tours and trips, exhibitions, and partnerships, our Community Programme provides artists with support needs from across the local area with meaningful opportunities to explore and present their creativity in a professional gallery environment. The long-term nature of the programme provides members with security and a strong sense of acceptance and community.
