Young people can be in unhealthy relationships that are toxic, and they are not sure where to go, who to tell or what to do. It is not always as easy as just ending the relationship, as the influence and pressures of their partners can wear them down and escalate the unhealthy and abusive behaviours they experience, including the misuse of social media, to coerce and influence them, expose them to pornographic materials, blackmail of sharing indecent pictures, track and control them.
This healthy relationship project will raise awareness to young women (aged 13-18) who are in unhealthy and toxic relationships, providing them with individual or group support, safety and advice in order to make informed choices about the future of that relationship and help break the cycle of abuse. We use evidence based strategy, coping mechanisms and solutions to provide age appropriate support and using our new website with specialist materials we encourage young people to talk.
