Our mission is to end homelessness for good. We know that securing a job is just one step on the journey to independence. That's why our new Move On Project offers a comprehensive support program for individuals ready to start employment and begin the transition into their own homes.

Cases of homelessness continue to rise every day and for 1 in 4 people this will not be the first time they have experienced being without a place to live. Breaking the cycle of repeated homelessness is a challenge. At Emmaus Oxford, over 40% of companions have been homeless more than once. Lack of stable employment results in 74% of cases of repeated homelessness. This situation highlights the urgent need for more tailored, long term support to end the cycle of homelessness.
Emmaus Oxford is successfully helping companions transition from homelessness to employment. Recognising that securing a job is only the first step to breaking the homeless cycle, this initiative will now offer companions starting employment a place in our designated Move On House. Here, they will receive tailored support from the Move On Coordinator, including employment assistance, emotional and wellbeing support, housing search guidance, and help with community integration.
