Dundee has multiple, interconnected, deep-rooted problems with poor health, poor diet, drug use and poverty. When global climate change brings extreme weather, impacting on food security, that impact is disproportionately felt by those who are already in poor health. Food production accounts for 25% of global greenhouse gas emissions, resulting in a vicious cycle of emissions leading to crop damage/drought. People here have lost the connection to growing their food, leaving them vulnerable.

We aim to resource our city with fresh food and the skills to grow it. The Campy Growers encourage knowledge of and participation in environmentally-sustainable food growing. We provide the facility for people to come together in a natural space to grow healthy, delicious food, cook together and develop the skills to grow veg for themselves. Campy Growers welcome everyone to help out with all aspects of veg production and encourage people to improve their diet with gorgeous, fresh veg.
