Kernow-Christmas Connections was set up to up to ask for vital funding for our home-visiting service, providing support for parents struggling with isolation and poor mental health across Cornwall. We know that the early days of a child's life are a critical time, and where families are facing big life challenges, such as bereavement, domestic abuse or illness, parents need empathetic support to ensure their baby gets the best start in life. That's where our home-visiting volunteers step in.

Home-Start Kernow will train and deploy more of our home-visiting volunteers so that more families across Cornwall can access their vital support. Home-visiting volunteers offer practical and emotional support to families with young children. They help parents cope with the stresses of family life and build the confidence and skills needed to nurture their children. Volunteers can assist with practical tasks, offer advice, and share their experiences, resulting in healthier and happier families
