We’ve launched our CL Schools Toolkit – a free, high-quality resource for teachers to become Carbon Literate and deliver impactful climate education. But we can’t keep it free forever. With your support, we’ll keep the Toolkit free for another six months, giving more schools a chance to access it.

Schools are key to a sustainable future – yet 70% of teachers don’t feel equipped to teach the climate crisis. Most haven’t received any formal training and lack access to quality resources. Meanwhile, stretched budgets prevent schools from accessing external support. Climate anxiety among young people is rising – but schools aren’t being given the tools to respond. There is an urgent need for a whole-school approach to climate action and education.

We’ve created a Carbon Literacy Schools Toolkit: a comprehensive package of resources for schools to train staff, leadership, governors and wider stakeholders in climate action, and to embed sustainability institutionally. We’ve made the Toolkit free at launch – but ongoing development and support comes at a cost. This campaign will allow us to keep the Toolkit free for another six months, enabling hundreds more schools to access the tools they need to take action on climate change.
