For local Arab journalists, the toll of reporting constantly on death, destruction, famine and displacement -often while experiencing it oneself - has been profound. Women journalists have faced these dangers plus greater social pressures while also caregiving. They need our solidarity and support!

For Arab journalists, working conditions and local circumstances are often difficult and dangerous. Being female means additional gendered risks, discrimination and social pressures. Reporting continuously on war, devastation, poverty and injustice - often impacting one's own family - has left many journalists feeling physically and emotionally depleted. But without their reporting, the whole world will miss out on vital news and information, with negative consequences for democracy globally.
Our Network provides a uniquely holistic support system to enable Arabic-speaking women journalists to cope with and persist in the face of a myriad of challenges. This may include individual mentorship, counselling, networking opportunities, masterclasses, digital resources and crisis support, plus becoming part of a regional community of supportive peers. Our flexible, individual approach means members can benefit when and for as long as they need, and together we can keep informing the world.
