Our Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs) are aging and increasingly unreliable. Since going into service 7 years ago our two oldest XC90’s have accumulated over 240,000 miles. These vehicles are vital when helicopters can’t fly - due to weather, darkness, maintenance, or location. Breakdowns or delays caused by vehicle failure could mean the difference between life and death. Without reliable RRVs, we risk being unable to deliver timely, life-saving care to patients across the region we serve.

We will replace our aging RRVs with new, fully equipped vehicles to ensure our teams can respond quickly and reliably. These vehicles will maintain our 24/7 emergency cover, especially when helicopters are grounded. With improved reliability and performance, our clinicians can continue delivering critical care without delay, helping to save lives and support communities.
