The care system can change lives. But right now, it’s falling short. By standing with us, you’re helping make sure that when a care-experienced young person reaches out, someone’s there to listen. You’re building a community and making sure their voices are heard, driving change they want to see.

Living in care can feel lonely, especially at Christmas. Young people are moved too often. And leaving care isn’t easy. There are 84,000 children in care in England, and right now, the care system isn’t working properly. Care-experienced children deserve the same chances as everyone else to live happy, fulfilled lives. Today, that’s far from the reality. Children in care often miss out on the love, support, and stability every young person needs. It’s not good enough.

We’re the national charity fighting alongside children and young people for a better care system. We’ll be here for 13-year-old Amara, struggling with her mental health as she faces another move. For Tom, feeling overwhelmed about living alone when he turns 18. We’ll back Mia as she starts uni, and support Lucas into work that feels right for him. We’ll bring them together to build community, and campaign alongside them for change. We’ll listen, every time a young person reaches out.
