James’ Place saves lives by providing free therapy to men in suicidal crisis. Our work is urgent: 75% of all deaths by suicide are male. At our centres, trained therapists help men resolve their crisis and find hope for the future. Donate to help us keep the door to hope open for suicidal men.

The figures are stark. Suicide is the single leading cause of death for men under 35 and three out of every four deaths by suicide are male. Every suicide results in a lifetime of devastation for families, friends and communities. At James' Place, we know that suicide is preventable — with the right support.
James’ Place provides free therapy to men aged 18+ in suicidal crisis. We aim to see men in crisis quickly, within just two working days of their referral. Therapy sessions are delivered in a friendly, non-clinical environment by professional therapists. Across our three centres (Liverpool, London and Newcastle), we have supported over 4,300 men, saving many lives. We aim to open a fourth centre in Birmingham in 2026 and a fifth elsewhere in the UK in 2027.
