The sights and sounds of nature are beneficial to wellbeing. We want to improve quality of life for patients by installing patio doors in patient rooms. The doors will open a connection to nature, allowing natural light to flood in and give views of the gardens to benefit patients and their vistors.

St Joseph's Hospice is over 50 years old and started life as a large house. It has been expanded and modernised over the years, but there are sections which would benefit from improved views, better ventilation and ease of access to the outdoors. We want all of our rooms to feel like a welcoming home from home, and be as comfortable as possible. This includes making the best of the room space available.

The solution is to install patio doors in our ground floor patient rooms in order to improve the views of, and access to, the life affirming nature outside. The doors will help modernise the rooms, improving airflow in warmer months, and increasing the natural light available all year round. Having patio doors fitted will make a huge difference to the people living in those rooms, providing direct access to the outdoors. Patient comfort and quality of life is always our main focus.
