If children with cerebral palsy (CP) can access specialist support at an early stage their life chances can be improved. Early intervention can help them develop skills for everyday life, like dressing, toileting, eating and playing that others take for granted. One child in every 400 has CP yet there are not enough specialist services to support them. We want to ensure children with CP in Scotland and their families have access to specialist knowledge and support when it is most needed.
As the only specialist centre in Scotland, we want to ensure no family dealing with a child with CP is alone. With your donation, we can build skills and knowledge and help every child with CP reach their potential. Our approach is holistic ensuring physical and mental health issues can be addressed. We focus on achieving goals that are meaningful to each family and we work with all those involved in supporting the child, at home, at nursery or school, thus benefitting all.
