This Christmas we’re responding to the food crisis gripping the nation. Here in Southwark too many face hunger, hardship and hopelessness. Through our trusted Foodbank and Pantry projects, we’ll double the meals, double the dignity and double the kindness, thanks to you.

We are tackling the growing crisis of poverty and food insecurity in Southwark, where rising living costs mean thousands of local families are struggling to afford essentials. Last year, our Southwark Foodbank supported nearly 19,000 local people. That’s a 289% increase on the previous year. And our Peckham Pantry recorded 16,500 member visits, saving each household around £15 per visit. Too many face hunger, isolation and impossible choices between food, rent and heating.

In two ways. Our Southwark Foodbank offers emergency food support and advice to address debt, benefits and rent issues. And our Peckham Pantry, open six days a week, offers longer-term, wrap around support with access to high quality, affordable food and advice. Both are a gateway to our other community services – Employment, Women’s Services and our Together social space – and those of our local partners.
