There are more than 9,000 people experiencing homelessness in Greater Manchester in 2025. More lives are impacted by poverty and isolation each day. Everyone of these people needs a welcoming, supportive community, with advice, a space in which to feel safe and warm, with healthy, nutritious meals and a place to eat together. Nobody should be facing an uncertain night alone on the streets of Greater Manchester during the winter, where freezing temperatures can lead to illness and even death.
For more than 30 years, the Booth Centre has built a thriving community for people experiencing homelessness and poverty. In the last year, more than 1,700 people relied on us as their community, their support when in need. As one of Manchester's oldest homelessness charities, we are the first port of call in a crisis for more many, an accessible support hub without need of referral and a friendly community that enables people to thrive and grow, and move on with their lives.
