There is a gap in provision for Children & Young People facing barriers to accessing high-quality theatre designed for their needs. 99,000 children use hospice services across the UK (Together for Short Lives, 2024); Commons Library states 11% children were disabled (2023). We have been working with this audience for over 15 yrs. Feedback from our audiences clearly shows that children with complex needs crave artistic interaction, but very few companies can provide this specialised work.
We provide theatre-based interactive events tailored to our audiences, meeting them in the places they feel safe & comfortable: in hospice play rooms, school halls & classrooms, or in children’s wards. Our tours reach historically underserved communities including boroughs with limited cultural infrastructure. To remove all barriers, we offer these shows for free, fundraising throughout the year to pay our workforce fairly and keep production values and content of the highest quality.
