This campaign will support Agenda Alliance’s work to fuel systems change by conducting research into systems that fail the most marginalised women and girls, supporting women with lived experience to shape reforms and run advocacy campaigns that centre those who know the issues first-hand.

One in 20 women in England have experienced extensive violence and abuse. Often deeply traumatised, they are at considerable risk of facing further abuse, poverty, poor mental health, imprisonment, addiction or homelessness. The systems in place today do not provide women with the support they need, meaning they fall into cycles of disadvantage. Furthermore, despite knowing what the issues are, women and girls are left out of processes to improve/re-design services they come into contact with.
Agenda Alliance conducts research, amplifies voices and campaigns for systems to respond appropriately to women and girls with multiple unmet needs. Change is possible – but only if we centre the voices that are often ignored. Through our Women Advisory Network, we provide training and support so women and girls with lived experience can guide our campaigns, speak out about their experiences and share their voices with people in power – all to improve the polices and services that affect them.
