More than 1 billion adolescent girls and women suffer from malnutrition worldwide. Girls are often fed last and least, and young mothers eat only after their families. Early pregnancies, especially before full physical development, worsen health outcomes. Malnutrition during the first 1,000 days, from conception to age two, can cause irreversible harm to brain development, immune systems and lifelong health, locking generations into the cycle of chronic hunger and poverty.

We address maternal malnutrition by tackling its root causes through education, access, and empowerment. We provide nutrition education focused on pregnancy and early childhood, promote breastfeeding, and ensure women have access to nutrient-rich foods and healthcare. We train women in sustainable farming, support mother-led peer groups, and equip local leaders to advocate for change - ensuring knowledge is shared and communities are transformed from within.
