Early intervention is critical to helping children and families that have experienced trauma. With 1 in 5 children being exposed to domestic violence, Dandelion Time urgently needs to increase the number of therapeutic sessions it provides to families.

Over 70% of families referred to Dandelion Time experienced domestic abuse. With more than 24,000 children in Kent estimated to live in a household where domestic abuse is prevalent, Dandelion Time must increase our reach. Without early intervention, the trauma each of these children has suffered is significantly more likely to impact their mental, emotional, and physical health not just through their childhood but throughout their adult life.
Dandelion Time offers a unique Nature, Craft and Family Systems therapeutic approach aimed at vulnerable children aged 6–14 with emotional and behavioural challenges due to adverse childhood experiences. Through hands-on nature and craft activities, children begin to heal from trauma, build confidence, regulate emotions, and strengthen family bonds. We aim to break intergenerational cycles of trauma and ensure a child's future is not dictated by their past.
