Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for digital support has grown, especially for those experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse. With more people working from home, many women are in closer proximity to their perpetrators and unable to safely call for help. Half of those using our service said they didn’t feel safe using the phone. Domestic Violence and Abuse remains a serious issue in Leeds, making safe online access to support more vital than ever.
We run a live online chat, Monday to Friday, 1–4pm, with 24/7 secure messaging—providing a safe, discreet way for women to access help. Staffed by experienced Domestic Violence and Abuse Support Workers, it offers vital support to some of the most vulnerable women and families, many facing complex needs due to domestic, sexual and honour-based violence and abuse.
