Wildlife is under threat. With climate change and industrial development squeezing nature out at an alarming rate, we need to take urgent action. The UK now has less than half of its biodiversity remaining because of human activity. 1,500 UK species are at risk of extinction. 1 in 5 people do not have access to green space within 5 minutes of home. Wildlife is disappearing before our eyes, so we need to harness the power of collective action to make a difference, before it’s too late.
Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. We are a network of conservationists, volunteers and communities who have the expertise, passion and tenacity to stand up for wildlife through a habitat creation and management, campaigning and engagement programmes. We have achieved huge successes for wildlife including: protecting 41 nature reserves, bringing back rare and threatened species, standing up for and connecting people to nature in Nottinghamshire.
