At the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), we believe that everyone deserves to benefit from the life-changing power of great music. RPO Resound engages thousands of people through orchestral music, people who might not otherwise have access to a rich musical life.

a) Health: People face many challenges to access music-based mental health interventions. Music has an impact on many conditions and improves general wellbeing. b) Inclusion: Many people with additional needs face barriers to accessing the joy of music. We connect people and communities with inclusive and welcoming music activities. c) Skills for Life: There are disparities in music education access. RPO Resound provides access to music learning which unlocks potential and raises aspirations.
Resound uses orchestral music and group sessions to engage a wide range of audiences and participants: disabled adults, people with dementia or other neurological conditions, autistic spectrum condition, sensory differences, anxiety, and those with young children. We support the rehabilitation and recovery of stroke survivors through STROKESTRA®. The Lullaby Project works with prisoners and refugees nationwide. Sound Sanctuary helps the wellbeing of those experiencing mental health challenges.
