Our Refused Asylum Seeker Advocacy team works with some of the most vulnerable asylum seekers. The cost of living crisis has had a strong impact on their ability to buy food and essential items. We receive donations of non-perishable food from the local community, but as the cost of living has soared, donations diminished. This means we have to buy more groceries for the food bank to distribute to destitute asylum seekers.

Our Refused Asylum Seeker Advocacy team seeks to relieve some of the physical and mental stress after a negative decision on their asylum claim. On Fridays, people receive advice and support, and a warm, welcoming and inclusive space for them to relax. Clients can access the Food Bank, which includes a selection of groceries, toiletries and a hot meal from our Community Café. We receive regular donations of non-perishable items from the community, but we also buy fresh vegetables and meat.
