Demand for our care is rising fast, driven by an ageing population and increasingly complex needs. Last year, care costs rose by 10%, but our NHS funding increased by less than 5%. Rising national insurance and minimum wage add to this pressure. We rely on our community’s generosity to ensure everyone can access expert end-of-life care when and where they need it most. Dying at home is so important to many of our patients and their families, making our service essential.

In the last year, our Hospice at Home team made thousands of visits to patients in their own homes. This essential service relies on safe, reliable vehicles, used around the clock. It costs £40,000 a year to lease, run and maintain our cars. We urgently need dependable transport to ensure our dedicated staff can continue reaching people in their final days.
