There are at least 404,000 people with ME in the UK, and a further 950,000 people with long covid living with ME-like symptoms. There is still no test, no effective treatments and no cure for ME, and research remains poorly funded by the UK government. 1 in 4 people with ME are so severely affected they are house-bound and often bed-bound. Many live with isolation and financial insecurity, alongside their debilitating symptoms. People with ME desperately need more support and more research.

We believe that change won’t just happen; it must be made. We help people affected by ME today through our helpline/email support, advocacy service and projects to reduce the isolation experienced by adults and children with ME. Our ME-informed healthcare services, including Doctors, ensure people with ME can access expert healthcare. We also work towards a brighter future for people with ME: educating professionals, investing in research to learn more about ME and campaigning for change.
