For 50 years now, Retina UK has funded cutting edge research, led the search for treatments and supported those living with inherited sight loss to live their best lives. In the UK there are between 25,000-33,000 people living with inherited sight loss and we are searching for treatments to support them. One way in which we do so is by investing into medical research in the hope of one day finding a cure.

One example of how our charity will solve the problem is through funding medical research, leading on bringing treatments to market and providing empowering information and support to the IRD community and their families. This is something we have done for 50 years and will continue to do until we find a cure. 93% of people with inherited sight loss have said it has a negative psychological impact on them. Retina UK supports people in all aspects of inherited sight loss.
