Suffolk’s wildlife is disappearing at an alarming rate, and we are all affected by our more extreme climate. Most of our plants and wildlife are declining with 1:10 facing extinction. There's a 50% decline in hedgehog numbers and 41% of insects are threatened with extinction, time is running out. Holding the line is not enough and we need to act now before we reach the tipping point of 2030 when it will be too late.
Maintaining nature reserves with landscape management, habitat creation, species surveys, wildlife monitoring, and restoration works. Working with Suffolk's farmers to make nature-positive choices, reconnecting habitats. Our engagement teams are inspiring people and communities across Suffolk to care about nature and take action in their gardens and green spaces. Planning and advocacy campaigns that ensure sustainable developments and ambitious biodiversity targets.
