1-in-5 pregnancies result in loss, rising to 50% when including early loss, creating feelings of loneliness, isolation and depression. Over half a million people in the UK experience baby loss each year, with thousands of those not accessing support and at risk of PTSD, depression or perinatal suicide. The Lancets ‘Miscarriage Matters’ report states: - 20% of pregnant people who have a loss will experience clinical PTSD - 18% will suffer from anxiety & depression - Risk of suicide is quadrupled
We provide practical and mental-health support to anyone affected by the death of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or termination.
