Homelessness is about more than a lack of accommodation. At Hope into Action, we want to give people a home and a community in which they can begin to build a new life for themselves, making it our mission to bring them into a friendship and support system where they can thrive.

The UK is in the midst of a homelessness crisis. Official government data reveals that 4,427 people were sleeping rough in England in 2024, an 8% increase on 2023. But, rough sleeping is just the tip of a far bigger homelessness iceberg. There are 123,100 homeless households living in temporary accommodation and this includes 159,830 children. This is the highest since records began. Behind each statistic is a tragic story of a life ruined by homelessness. This is the problem we are solving.

Hope into Action provides more than a roof over someone's head. Homelessness is not only a lack of accommodation, but a lack of resources, relationships and identity. Through our Empowerment Workers, and partner church communities, we provide personalised support to each tenant, providing addiction support, employment advice and a community that welcomes and rehabilitates our beneficiaries. This combination of professional support and community makes us distinct from other homeless charities.
