Girls with Goals is a 6-week programme for young women aged 14 - 18. This is a safe and brave space for young women to feel informed and empowered to explore issues that impact their human rights and their lives, on themes of education, work, sport, beauty standards and medical misogyny.

Our Status of Young Women in Scotland 24/25 report found that 1 in 3 young women feel that they have not been taught enough about their human rights and research shows that girls are increasingly subject to misogynistic comments, sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour. Nonetheless, their voices are missing from the wider conversation about the rise of misogyny. Girls With Goals equips girls with the skills and strategies to recognise and challenge discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.

The Young Women’s Movement is Scotland’s national organisation for young women’s leadership and rights, working with young women and girls to collectively challenge inequality and lead social change. Using a youth-work approach, we work collectively to equip them with resources, networks and platforms to lead transformative change in their lives, their communities and at a national level to re-imagine our world. Young women are at the heart of everything we do.
