The Breastfeeding Network is led by women with lived experience, supporting families from a wide range of backgrounds. Your donation helps us provide trusted, quality-assured breastfeeding support, education and training, all free services parents rely on which need public support to continue.

8 out of 10 women stop breastfeeding within the first 6 weeks, before they want to. Parents tell us local, trusted support helps them continue. Yet rising living costs, stretched health services and growing inequalities mean breastfeeding support is harder to access, especially in deprived communities. Demand for BfN’s quality-assured, free services has risen, but funding pressures risk reducing the vital support and coverage women need to feed their babies with confidence.
BfN provides free, evidence-based breastfeeding support, education and peer training across the UK. Our services are inclusive, non-judgemental and delivered in person, online and in communities, with a focus on areas of deprivation. With limited resources, we must focus our time on delivering consistent, high-quality support that helps women feel informed, confident and supported whatever their feeding journey looks like.
