Systemic underinvestment in NHS maternity services has cost lives and increased trauma. Birth should be safe, compassionate, equitable. Women need personalised care, compassion and reliable, evidenced information about perinatal health, so they are empowered and supported to co-create care pathways.

Maternity services are in crisis. There is a severe shortage of midwives and health visitors, and budgets have been slashed. Maternity cases make up 60% of NHS medical negligence claims. One in three women experience a traumatic birth; one in four perinatal mental ill health. Women need compassionate support, reliable information about pregnancy, birth and early parenting and empowerment through co-creation and advocacy. Without that, maternal and infant health outcomes will further worsen.
We will: -Provide frontline support for common perinatal health concerns (e.g., pregnancy wellbeing, mental health, infant feeding). -Educate and empower women through reliable, evidence-based digital and in-person information, content, services. -Campaign for better women’s heath, maternity and postnatal care. -Co-produce with women with cross-sectional lived experience, ensuring their stories are our driving force.
