TNN provides free to access peer support meetings for bereaved adults. We provide 25-30 peer support meetings per month, in person and online, serving a diverse range of grief experiences, identities and communities. Since 2018 we've provided 1,300+ meetings and 125,000+ minutes of free support.

We’re acutely aware that free access to grief and mental health support within the UK is hugely lacking, and the impact can be life-changing for grievers. For 29% of our participants (of 100 surveyed), they have no other support and 58% cannot afford paid-for therapy or support.

Peer support is an important and under-provided source of community-based support. Access to peer support is evidenced to increase protective factors such as connectedness, community, recovery, hope and wellbeing, which reduces the prevalence of suicide. Participant: “I literally feel like it’s saved my life to know there is somewhere I can go on a regular basis where I feel safe and understood and less alone in my grief. I depend on attending the meetings regularly to keep me going.”
