Harmful norms and values that drive violence against women and girls are all too common in the UK. With women 3 times more likely to be killed by their partner than by not wearing a seatbelt, domestic abuse is a national emergency that is being ignored. Challenging the attitudes that enable and excuse abuse is an essential part of achieving a world where violence against women and girls is no longer tolerated. Together, we can build a brighter future.

Women’s Aid works to end domestic abuse against women and children. Our campaigns, policy work and research amplify survivors’ voices to raise awareness of domestic abuse and secure critical changes from government, statutory services and society. Our prevention work educates young people on healthy relationships and aims to build a generation who will not tolerate abuse. Our services ensure survivors are safe and can access the specialist support they need to rebuild their lives after abuse.
