There are currently around 2,250 children in Oxfordshire bereaved of a parent or sibling at some point in their childhood. There is no statutory provision for bereavement support within Oxfordshire for under 18s. The death of a parent or sibling is seen as an Adverse Childhood Experience. Research shows that one third of bereaved children fall into the 'at risk' category for emotional and behaviour difficulties within 2 years of the death.

SeeSaw provides appropriate and timely support to reduce the emotional, psychological and mental health consequences of bereavement. Each case is unique, and we tailor our support to the needs of the individual child, for as long as it is required. Our clinical team help children understand and manage their grief to enable them to face the future with hope.
