Refugees tell us higher education is crucial for rebuilding their lives, support networks, employment prospects and wellbeing. Yet only 7% go to university, compared to 42% of people globally. In the UK, refugees face many barriers: the system is complex, information and support is scarce and students often face international fees whilst having no access to student finance or right to work. Without scholarships and support, university is out of reach for many. Together we can change that.

Our peer to peer mentoring project mobilises our student volunteers, many of whom from refugee backgrounds themselves, to support people on their journey to university. We know this project works as people tell us how much we helped them get the guidance they needed. We want to provide more support to even more people. You can help us to make that happen.
