We are raising funds to pay for our trauma-informed support work. Our Family Mentors work to address the underlying causes of homelessness by supporting families with 1:1 mentoring sessions, advocacy and signposting. Their focus is on preparing families for independent living in a safe environment.

Over 159,000 children in England went to sleep homeless last year. Within our local authority, there are currently 6,656 households on the social housing waiting list (Shelter, Mar-25). Our referrals criteria: A family must be homeless (or at risk of homelessness) and have 2+ unmet support needs (substance misuse, care leaver, social care involvement, experience of domestic abuse, debt/rent arrears, mental health issues, disabilities).

Save the Family offers temporary housing and round-the-clock support to homeless and at-risk families. We enable families to stay together in a safe, home environment whilst addressing the underlying causes of their homelessness. Our modern, multi-purpose facility provides tailored assistance from a trauma-informed team, who support families to reintegrate into the community and feel empowered, equipped and ready to carve out a brighter future with increased aspirations and opportunities.
