Caring for a child with a disability is something that never ends. In a survey of over 2000 families, the Disabled Children’s Partnership (2022) found: - 87% of parents had poor mental health - 67% of siblings felt isolated - Only 20% of parents had the support needed for their child to fulfil their potential This equates to huge unmet need. Based on 2024 government statistics, at least 10,000 children up to age 18 in East and West Sussex alone have complex additional needs.
