The Jericho Road Project offers accessible services to vulnerable women affected by the sex industry to help them make positive changes. We are raising funds for the project and for an adapted minibus to provide food, drinks, and a safe space for women to talk and get support.

Women we support experience severe, multiple disadvantages with high levels of homelessness, substance misuse, and poor mental and physical health. They face multiple barriers to access support services. They sell sex to pay for their own or a partner’s drug habit, who may be controlling / coercive. Street sex work is dangerous and women are at risk of violence and abuse. They are also in cycles of imprisonment when released back to similar conditions, repeating offences such as shop lifting.

JRP conducts Street Outreach up to 3 times a week, in a specially adapted minibus, providing a safe space, a chance to talk, hot drinks, food and warm clothes. Street outreach is often the first point of contact for women who otherwise struggle to access services. We work to build relationships of trust so that women know who they can reach out to. We invite women to our weekly drop-in sessions for further in-depth support and refer to other agencies such as the adult safe-guarding team.
