Isolation and not knowing where to turn is an issue for many young girls experiencing sexual violence in Highland. Our campaign will fund a pilot expanding access to age 11+ and raise awareness of our services so young survivors and their supporters know we’re here - early, always, across Highland.

RASASH’s Voices Heard, Futures Changed campaign responds to the urgent need for specialist support for young survivors of sexual violence in Highland, particularly girls in rural and remote areas. Many feel alone, unheard, and unsupported. By working closely with schools, youth services, and community partners and seeing a rise in requests to support younger survivors we know there is a clear and growing need to lower the age of access to our service which is currently age 13+.
We will pilot access to our services from age 11+, ensuring earlier, trauma-informed support. By upskilling frontline staff and engaging with schools, youth services, and community partners, we’ll raise awareness and build a safety net around young survivors in Highland. This pilot will help bridge a critical gap, ensuring survivors are reached earlier, feel less alone, and can access support that is visible, age-appropriate, and always there.
