During 2024 we support over 8000 people across Bromley Borough with emergency food support. We are again seeing numbers rising in 2025. Please help us make sure that no one goes hungry in our community.

Situation
Poverty is a real problem even in Bromley. Universal Credit for a single person in just £92 per week, making it impossible to afford food, bills, travel and other expenses. 1 in 10 children in Bromley live in poverty. Significant numbers of people are at risk of going hungry and we often see clients who haven't eaten in days, or are going without so they can feed their children.
Solution
We provide nutritionally balanced emergency food for 3 days to restock the cupboards along with a supermarket voucher to allow clients to purchase some food items of choice, specific to their needs and dietary requirements. We also work with clients individually to support them to address any wider issues which may contribute to their food crisis - looking at long term health conditions, mental wellbeing, debt and housing and working with them.
