Pre-school sessions provide an inclusive, non-judgemental environment that is vital to the early year’s development of children with any additional need/disability. Parents have the opportunity to find a community of peer support, along with information and advice which can transform their lives.

Families who contact SNAP are often at the very beginning of their journey, meaning they can feel lost, confused and without hope; whilst facing a new world of additional needs and disabilities with a distinct lack of statutory support. Sadly, families are unable to access most mainstream services, as there is a lack of understanding of their child’s needs or insufficient specialist equipment. Families experience frustration and emotional stress leading to a sense of being unsupported and alone.

SNAP provides three weekly 2 hour pre-school sessions that run term-time at the fully accessible SNAP Centre. SNAP on Monday offers free play with specialist toys, soft play, IT Suite, and a Multi-Sensory Room to foster social skills. SNAP on Thursday adds music led by a Music Therapist. SNAP on Friday is held biweekly and caters to children with higher, more complex needs, featuring smaller groups with more emphasis on intensive and interactive music therapy support.
